The “Exoikonomo 2025” program is designed to offer new opportunities for energy upgrades in residential properties, with subsidies reaching up to €35,000 per application. It is a significant initiative aimed at reducing the energy footprint of households, placing strong emphasis on energy savings and improving quality of life.

The "Exoikonomo 2025” program covers interventions such as:

  • Replacement of windows with energy-efficient systems
  • Installation of thermal insulation
  • Upgrade of heating and cooling systems
  • Installation of smart energy management systems (smart home)

Applications are expected to begin at the end of **2024 or early 2025**, and submission will take place through the program’s online platform. The program is accessible to everyone, with special provisions for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and large families. Information About the Program

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR “EXOIKONOMO 2025”

To participate in the “Exoikonomo 2025” program and benefit from its subsidies, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Eligible Residence

The property must:

  • Be used as a primary residence.
  • Legally belong to the applicant or be under a valid rental agreement for at least 7 years.
  • Be legally constructed, meaning it must have a building permit or equivalent legalization document.
  • Be classified in energy category C or lower, according to the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
  1. Eligible Applicants
  • Individuals: Eligible applicants include homeowners or tenants who meet the following income criteria:
  • Individual income up to €5,000 or family income up to €10,000 (eligible for the highest subsidy rate).
  • Individual income above €5,000 or family income above €10,000.
  • Apartment buildings: Eligible for upgrades to shared areas such as lighting, elevators, etc.
  1. Funding Conditions
  • Interventions must improve the property’s energy performance by at least 3 categories on the Energy Performance Certificate.
  • The total cost of interventions must not exceed €35,000 per residence.
  1. Application Submission
Applications are submitted online through the program’s dedicated information system. The following documents are required:
  • Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
  • Form E9 (proof of ownership).
  • Income tax return (for income criteria).
  • Lease agreement (if the residence is rented).
  1. Timeline
