Applicants must complete the renovation work within six months and ensure the property is rented for at least three years. Importantly, the subsidy must be returned if the property is not rented as required.
Eligible expenses under the program include:
a) Expenses for renovation and repair work on the eligible property.
Examples include:
b) Expenses for purchasing products and materials necessary for the above renovation and repair work
c) Expenses for required IKA (social insurance) contributions for construction and repair work, which, according to current legislation for non-salaried professions, are the responsibility of the program beneficiary
d) Engineer service fees for obtaining permits/approvals, drafting required studies, or issuing Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), as required by law for renovation and repair work. The maximum eligible amount for these services is set at €700.
To qualify for the program, you must:
a) Own or hold the usufruct of at least 50% of the property
b) Ensure the property is no larger than 100 square meters and located in a residential area
c) Have an annual taxable family income (actual or imputed) not exceeding €40,000 and own real estate worth no more than €300,000 in total
d) Ensure the property is not declared as your primary residence, is not already rented, and has been declared vacant on form E2 for the past three tax years
